NEW Non-Profit: Find Your Impact!
Scholarship Application Information Coming Soon!
We do not want the cost of training programs to be the reason people cannot pursue their professional goals, and the reason families cannot receive quality services.
If you would like to help us make an impact, consider taking one of our CEUs as 80% of that income gets directly donated to Find Your Impact. Another way you can support our impact is by volunteering to serve as guest lecturers or CEU instructors for our upcoming courses. If this is something you are interested in contact us! We look forward to working together.
We encourage you to donate to Find Your Impact as well!
Cultural Responsiveness and Diversity & Inclusion
Our field is continuously evolving and that is a good thing! Some new area of focus for our field are cultural responsiveness and diversity, equity and inclusion. As a multiracial, non-native English speaker, and an immigrant to the United States, these topics have always been a focus for our founder. Gabi has always made efforts to ensure that the policies and procedures in her places of work take into consideration the diversity of her teams. Gabi has also always focused on building collaborative relationships with the clients and families served by her teams.
The client's voice, whether vocal or not, should always be considered and the client and their parents are in the end the expert on their home, their culture, and their life.
Knowing that this is not yet the norm in our field, Gabi is dedicating her time to research related to equity, diversity, inclusion, access and belonging as the lab manager of the EDIAB Lab. She also serves as a volunteer in various DEI positions in the US. She is also the President of the Caribbean Association of Behavior Analysis and continues to serve as the Clinical Advisor and a board member for the Autism Aid Foundation in her native country of Curacao. All of this work is done on a volunteer basis and Gabi is dedicated to volunteering at least 20% of her time.
