CEU Journal Club September 2023: Emphasizing Choice-Making Opportunities (Ethics)

CEU – IBAO Supervised Practice Experience

On Friday April 14, Gabi Torres, hosted a webinar focused on being a supervisor for IBAO candidates! We reviewed the IBAO’s requirements, including supervised practice experience, candidate skills tests, and candidate projects and explored activities and assignments that are appropriate for each supervision requirement. You can watch the recording and earn 1 Supervision CEU for both the BACB and IBAO.

CEU Journal Club April 2023: Cultural Responsiveness (Culture)

Our first 2023 culture journal club was held Friday April 21. You can watch the recording of the session, which was based on the article Beaulieu, L. & Jimenez-Gomez, C. (2022). Cultural responsiveness in applied behavior analysis: Self-assessment. Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, 55, 337-356, and we talked about the importance of cultural responsiveness in the delivery of behavior analytic services.

CEU Journal Club March 2023: Ethical Decision Making (Ethics)

Our first 2023 ethics journal club was held on Friday March 31. You can watch the recording of the session. We reviewed the article Rosenberg & Schwartz (2018).  Guidance or compliance: What makes an ethical behavior analyst. Behavior Analysis in Practice, 12, 473-482, which was the foundation for the International Behavior Analyst Organization’s Ethical Decision Making Model.

All viewers should read the journal article in advance and be prepared to join a discussion based on prompts and questions created. A copy of the journal article is available under Journal Club Overview. It is also recommended to review your relevant ethics code(s) (BACB and/or IBAO) as we will be referencing these during our time together.
